Pada petang 21 Jun 2011, rakan senior sekerja pejabat En. Md Kamal berkata “ Pi ler masukkan nama kursus TEAMING WITH PASSION, esok”. Pada ketika itu , aku masih fifty-fifty nak hadir atau tidak.. Oleh kerana rasa berminat , aku berjumpa Pn Sham di Unit HC , beliau bagitahu aku boleh hadir dan just tulis nama nanti di tempat kursus. “ Tengoklah nanti “ balas aku yang masih rasa fifty-fifty untuk hadir.

Malamnya di rumah, sewaktu makan malam aku bercerita hasrat aku untuk berkursus kepada isteri. Isteri aku mencadang aku hadir dengan katanya “ Pi ler abang, ini satu peluang baik, nantikan hari lain abang ada hal lagi penting dan tak boleh hadir. “ Ini lah dikatakan adviser yang baik.

Hasilnya pada 22 Jun 2011 aku berada didalam dewan hotel berkursus TEAMING WTH PASSION ber sama rakan sekerja yang lain termasuk rakan senior aku En.Md Kamal Harun.

Pada aku kursus TEAMING WITH PAQSSION ini adala kursus yang lain daripada kursus yang lain-lain . Penuh dengan game dan keceriaan . Malahan cikgu yang memberi tunjuk ajar amat berbeza sekali. Dan cikgu yang saya kenali En. Azhar serta yang paling istimewa sekali cikgu yang di kenali VAN CHIANG.

Siapa Van Chang itu menjadi secret lagi, belum terjawab , siapa sebenar namanya.

Tapi yang penting buat aku, apa intipati yang diajar oleh master trainer itu. Orang yang muda dan mempunyai confident yang tinggi serta jelas suaranya. Beliau memberitahu kursus ini mempunya banyak GAME.

So the learning starts. In one full day, he actually taught us many things. Passion, Team Power,Customers For Life, World Class Organization, Communication and so on. Banyak games planned in this 2-day training, I think we completed half of them. The message is clear, fun is part of it, but the games are design for us to discover our trueself or PATTERNS and changing our PATTERNS in doing things. Examples and exercises given are all simple, but very relevant.

Antara pelajaran dan pembelajaran yang baru buat diri aku adalah:-

i. Extraordinary Performance

ii. Excellent Performance

iii. Expected Performance

iv. Average Performance

v. Poor Performance

He pointed out how the motivation of employees goes down and level of stress is high when the subordinates thought they are giving their best, but only to the EXPECTED LEVEL. This is because they are not aware that there are 2 more levels to go to their highest performance.

Next he talked about COMMUNICATION. How to have excellent communication between 2 persons. He outlined 4 ARROWS;

i. Strategy – every communication must have strategy in order to draw attention of audience and must target to the HEART

ii. High Energy – communication must come with energy. Communication with high energy level will have high impact to the audience and vice versa.

iii. Intensity of Eye-Contact – No point of communicating without eye-contact. EYE-CONTACT is a must. Dari Mata turun ke Hati

iv. Transfer of Feeling – The feelings must be transferred to the audience. He taught us of us different intonation will carry different meaning to everything that you say. Agree on this.

He shared few examples how good communication can touch someone’s heart and change the whole thing. How mother change her communication to her son only through changing the way she communicated. Very touching. Well, it was fun, but the learning impact is high on me.

Itu saja buat hari pertama buat kursus menjadi Aahaa pada diri aku.
